Ariel GOH
Deputy Director | Logistics & Wellness
ITE College East
Ariel manages the academic operation of courses under the School of Business & Services as well as the national education portfolio on Sports & Wellness programs at ITE College East. She is a member of the Sectorial Committee for Sports and Wellness Sector with the five polytechnics.
Wellness programmes under her charge includes Beauty and Hair courses. Ariel and her team work closely with Industry Partners and Trade Associations to develop and craft curriculum that meets international standard as well as train a ready pool of skilled graduates to meet local demand. Students from the Beauty and Hair courses have been representing Singapore for the WorldSkills Competition since 2009.
Prior to joining ITE, Ariel spent more than ten years in the MICE – Meetings, Incentive, Conferences and Exhibition Industry. Her work allows her to travel internationally and experience the Spa cultures in different settings. She was part of the pioneer team who worked on the iSpa Conference Singapore in the early 2000.
Lindy SIM
Deputy Director| Wellness, Leisure & Hospitality
Enterprise Singapore
Lindy is Deputy Director for Wellness, Leisure and Hospitality at EnterpriseSG where she oversees the enterprise development for local firms in these sectors. Before this role, she headed the Business Leadership Development team in the Industry Human Capital division at EnterpriseSG.
Prior to joining EnterpriseSG, she was with Maritime and Port Authority where she managed the Maritime Cluster Fund to support the growth of Singapore’s maritime cluster.
Lindy is passionate about driving the growth of local firms and nurturing talents.
Suzanne NG

Suzanne Ng has held management and consulting positions in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and China.
She has worked with major hospitality and wellness brands such as Spa Finder Japan, Mandarin Oriental New York and Tokyo, Westin Hotel Tokyo, Shangri-La Tokyo, Lotte Group and Six Senses. And for projects in China for Chateau Star River in Guangzhou and consulting projects in Xian and Chengdu.
Suzanne majored in Economics and Psychology at the National University of Singapore and did her post-graduate Diploma in International Management at INSEAD (France) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management Consultancy and Change at Poon Kam Kai Institute of Management, The University of Hong Kong. She is the Programme Chair in the School of Hospitality at Republic Polytechnic for the Diploma in Wellness, Lifestyle and Spa Management as well as the Diploma in Wellness and Hospitality Business.
Suzanne is also one of the members of the Spa and Wellness Association Singapore and held the position of Education Director. She has attended and presented at some of the key international wellness events such as the Global Wellness Summit in New York and India, ISPA (International Spa Association), Cornell- Asia Spa Institute Japan, Wellness Summit in Singapore and Cosmoprof in Hong Kong, Asia Pacific Spa and Wellness Council and the Aging Investment Conference.
Suzanne teaches across a range of Wellness and Hospitality subjects from Health Psychology, Spa and Wellness Operations, Wellness and Medical Tourism, Hospitality Revenue and Service Quality and Professional Etiquette. And she has done several research projects on the Singapore Wellness Industry. In Republic Polytechnic, she was commissioned by Spa and Wellness Association Singapore and Spring Singapore to conduct a focus group study on the Wellness Industry in Singapore, 2012. She also conducted a Feasibility study for assessing the viability of setting up Wellness Medicine Screening systems and associated therapeutic service in Spas in South East Asia, 2011. The research was also funded by Spring Singapore. As well as an Exploratory Study on Consumers’ Responses to the Spa, Beauty and Wellness Warranty Insurance Plan in Singapore, 2010.

Who is SWAS?
Spa and Wellness Association Singapore (SWAS) was founded in 2004 in response to the need of an association to reach out to all sectors of the Beauty & Wellness Industry. In 2021, the association was renamed to Specialists in Wellness Association Singapore (SWAS) to better represent the industry.
Over the years, the Specialists in Wellness Association Singapore has developed from an interest group representing Beauty & Wellness establishments to a confederation of trade groups representing stakeholders within the framework of the Beauty & Wellness Industry. The association actively promotes the business interests of all stakeholders in Wellness, Beauty, Hair, Nail and associated Holistic Care & Service industry.

Member of Parliament for Tampines GRC
Mr Desmond Choo is a Member of Parliament for the Tampines Group Representative Constituency and the Adviser to the Tampines Changkat Grassroots Organisations. Concurrently, he is the Mayor of North East District. Mr Desmond Choo oversees social and community development for 18 constituencies.
Mr Desmond Choo is also the Assistant Secretary-General and Director of Policy Division at NTUC. He oversees the economic and social policies, strategic communications and international affairs. He is also the Executive Secretary of the Union of Telecoms Employees of Singapore and Advisor to the Young NTUC Committee.
Within the Labour Movement, Mr Desmond Choo is the Advisor to the Attractions, Resorts & Entertainment Union, Singapore Union of Broadcasting Employees and Union of Security Employees. He is also the Trustee of Singapore Shell Employees’ Union. He is the Secretary of the Industrial Relations Committee (Service Sector) as well as a Member of the Training Council and Industrial Relations Council.
