EdeS – SwissBrands Singapore Pte Ltd

SwissBrands Singapore Pte Ltd was incorporated in 1981, as Scano Pte Ltd. Scano operated over 200 Retail Concessions in departmental and duty-free stores in Asia as Scan Jewellery offering fashion accessory brands including Nina Ricci, Givenchy, Napier, Dorlan, 1928, Kawaii and Stratton.

Scano retailed Beauty Products in Departmental Stores in 1986 until the Japanese asset crisis in 1990. Closure and financial difficulties of many departmental and duty-free stores made Retail Concessionaire unviable. Scano changed its business model to supply products to salons and created the Esthētique de Suisse (EdeS) brand to enhance long-term goals.

The EdeS brand has provided efficacious and reliable Professional Treatments to therapists in Europe and Asia since 1990. Many salons use EdeS products to develop treatments of their own and retail EdeS consumer products. The first EdeS Spa was setup in 1993 in Hong Kong as a signature service outlet to offer Beauty treatments using exclusively EdeS products and protocols.

SwissBrands Singapore developed ‘EdeSClub’ in 2020 for E-Business and the EdeS Assurance series to cater to the needs of consumers amidst lifestyle changes from the COVID-19 pandemic. More consumer-oriented products are being developed including DIY Beauty Treatments to be launched in 2022.
